Why I built it

College decision season contains a lot of dates and very little sense of control. I built a simple place to turn that waiting into a timeline people could actually read.

What it does

College Countdown tracks decision dates and presents the remaining time clearly. Earlier versions also pulled in community decision data from ApplyingTo.College.

Why it matters

It was a small project built for a very specific emotional moment. That constraint kept the product focused: dates should be accurate, the hierarchy should be calm, and the answer should be visible immediately.

Under the hood

Next.js renders individual countdown and timeline views.
Date calculations keep countdowns consistent across decision windows.
The interface was designed to stay useful even without the earlier external-data integration.
